Our workshop is located at Plot 17 on Marg 19 in Kailash Nagar. We are right across from Konark School, so we hear the school bells and the kids playing all day. It’s a lively part of Jhotwara. We focus on making things by hand. Most of our day is spent at the workbench with small tools. It’s a lot of sitting and concentrating on the details. We started this because we liked making jewelry and crafts. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many materials tucked into every corner. We’ve got shelves full of different bits and pieces. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. It’s a family-run kind of place. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We like being in this part of town. It feels like home. We’ve seen many students from the school grow up over the years. Our routines are pretty set. We open up in the morning, have some chai, and start on the day's projects. It’s a simple life, and we’re quite used to the rhythm of Jhotwara by now. We usually keep the doors open for some air, even when it’s hot outside. Sometimes we get sidetracked talking to friends who pass by, but the work always gets done eventually.
