Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur. We are out on NH-11 C, on the highway that connects Jaipur and Delhi. It is a big place, and you can’t really miss it when you are driving past. There are always buses coming in and students walking around with their bags. The sun in Rajasthan is no joke, so we spend a lot of time making sure there is enough shade and the water coolers are full. Working at a university means there is never a quiet moment. You have people from all over coming here to study. I’ve been here for a while and seen many classes come and go. The buildings are spread out and it takes a good walk to get from one end to the other. Most of us live nearby or commute from the city, and that drive on the highway is just part of the daily routine. We don't do things in a very formal way in the offices; we just try to get the paperwork done so the students can get to their labs and classes. It’s a busy environment but it feels good to see the younger generation trying to learn something new every day. The highway outside is always roaring with trucks, but once you step inside the gates, it feels a bit different. It’s just a place for learning and working, nothing more and nothing less. We keep things running as best as we can.
