This place is located at No 40 in Sindhi Colony, which is a part of the Bani Park area in Jaipur. Being so near the bus stand means there is always a lot of noise from the buses and people shouting outside on the street. Once you step inside the building, it gets a lot quieter. We have several rooms set up for the different procedures and the check-ups we do every day. The waiting room has some old wooden chairs and a few plastic ones for when it gets crowded. We keep the walls fairly bare, maybe just a calendar or a clock hanging up. It is a serious kind of place because of the work we do with fertility and surgery, but we try to keep the atmosphere as calm as possible. Patients come from all over the city, and some even take the bus since the station is so close to our door. We spend a lot of time looking at charts and talking to couples. It is not a shiny new building; it has that lived-in feel of a place that has seen many years of work. The hallways are a bit narrow and the stairs are steep. We do not use many fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are still kept in physical folders on the metal shelves. In the late afternoons, the sun hits the front windows quite strongly. It is just a dedicated space in Jaipur.
