Jain Traders

Jain Traders is situated at shop 27 B in the MGD Market area, which is part of the Old Atish Market. This part of town is very traditional and the lanes are narrow, filled with all sorts of shops selling different things. Our place is tucked in there among the rest, and it has that old-school market feel that you do not find in the newer malls. We deal with various goods and have been doing so for many years now. The shop itself is quite small, but we make use of every inch of shelf space we have. You can usually find one of us sitting at the front, waiting for customers or talking to the other traders nearby. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, and news travels fast down the alleyways. We open up early in the morning when the sun is just starting to hit the market gates and stay until the evening rush dies down. The walls are lined with stock, and there is always a bit of dust because of the open doors and the constant movement of people outside. We do not go in for fancy displays; we just keep the items where people can see them. It is a busy life in the Old Atish Market, but we are used to the rhythm of it by now. It is just how things have always been for us at 27 B.
