Jai Shree Ram Bangles

Our shop, Jai Shree Ram Bangles, is right on the main stretch of Chandpole Bazar at number 381. It’s a lively spot to be in Jaipur. You can hear the sounds of the market and the temple bells all day long. We’ve got bangles of all kinds stacked up in the glass cases. It’s a lot of glass and colors, and we have to be very careful not to break anything when we’re moving stuff around in the mornings. Chandpole is one of those places where there's always something happening, so we never really have a dull moment. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t need much more than our location to let people know we exist. The shop isn't fancy, just some counters and rows and rows of bangles. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass because fingerprints get everywhere. Customers come in looking for specific colors to match their clothes, and we do our best to find the right box in the back of the store. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we sort it out eventually when things get quiet. It's a family-run kind of feel, even if we're just focused on the work. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s just how things are done here in the old part of the city. We wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if it were quiet, so we enjoy the daily chaos of the shop.
