We are located at 16 Jorawar Singh Gate. It’s an old part of the city, very crowded and full of history. The gate itself is huge and you can’t miss it. Traffic around here is always a bit of a mess, especially in the mornings. We have been in this building for some time. It’s got thick walls and that old-style feel. The research part of what we do happens in the back rooms. It’s mostly just us working through files and seeing people. Sometimes the noise from the street gets inside, but we’re used to it. The tea seller across the road knows all our names. We don’t spend much on decorating the place because we’d rather just focus on the people who come in. It feels like a real community here. You see the same faces every morning when the shops open up. The parking is a bit tight, so most people just walk or take a rickshaw. We try to keep things clean but with so many people coming through, it’s a constant job. There isn’t any big corporate lobby here. Just a waiting area with some benches and a desk. We just do our daily tasks and try to be useful to whoever walks in. It’s a busy life at the gate and we are just happy to be a small part of it. The seasons change but the bustle around the gate stays exactly the same.
