J J Architects

J J Architects is located at Plot No 72, near the Police Memorial Circle and Trimurti Circle. It’s a well-known part of Jaipur, so people usually find us without too much trouble. We’ve been working from this office for some time now. Our day-to-day is mostly filled with blue prints, site visits, and trying to get the permits sorted out. Architecture is a lot of waiting for things to dry or for papers to get signed, and we’ve gotten used to that rhythm. We aren't interested in being a big firm with hundreds of employees. We like the fact that we can talk to every person who walks through the door ourselves. Our desks are usually covered in rolls of paper and half-finished cups of coffee. When someone comes in with a new project, we start by just listening to what they need for their family or their business. There’s no point in building something that looks nice but doesn't work for the people inside. We try to keep our designs simple and solid. Being near Trimurti Circle means we see a lot of the older parts of the city as well as the new stuff going up. It’s a good place to be inspired without getting too caught up in trends. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure the walls stand straight and the roof doesn't leak. It’s basic, honest work.
