Independent Consulting

My work happens in Apartment 501 at Pearl Oasis, which is over on Mangal Marg in Bapu Nagar. B 176 is the specific spot in Jaipur where I’ve set up my independent consulting practice. It’s a nice enough building, and being on the fifth floor gives me a view of the trees and the street below. I don't have a flashy office or a big logo on the wall. It’s just a place where I sit down and think through the problems my clients are facing. Jaipur is a beautiful city, but it can be busy, so I appreciate having this quiet space to focus. I handle everything myself, from the first phone call to the final report. There aren't any layers of management here. It’s just a direct conversation between me and the people I work with. I’ve got my papers organized in folders, though sometimes they spill out across the table when I’m busy. I don't try to sound like a big corporation because that's not who I am. I’m just a person with some experience trying to make a living by being useful. I value honesty and being straightforward about what I can and can't do. Most people seem to appreciate that. It’s a small operation, but I take pride in doing a thorough job. I usually work late into the evening, but that’s just how it goes when you’re on your own.
