To find us, you have to go right into the heart of Johari Bazar in Jaipur. We are at 905 Haldiyon Ka Rasta. If you’ve ever been there, you know how narrow the lanes are and how crowded it gets with shoppers and rickshaws. It is a very old part of the city, and our building feels every bit of that history. The walls are thick, and the stairs are a bit steep. We have been here for generations, and the way we do things hasn't changed all that much. It’s a family-run kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. The morning usually starts with opening up the heavy doors and greeting the neighbors who are doing the same. We spend our time surrounded by the tools and materials of our trade. It isn't a modern office with glass partitions. Instead, it’s full of wooden cabinets and old desks that have been used for decades. There is a certain rhythm to life in the bazar that you don't find anywhere else. Even when it’s chaotic outside with the tourists and the traffic, it feels steady inside our walls. We don't put up big signs or try to grab people's attention. We just stay in our spot and do the work that needs doing. It’s a bit cramped, but it’s home for us during the working hours. We keep the tradition alive by just showing up and doing what we know.
