House 2 Home

House 2 Home is located at 1055 Kishan Marg, just off Tonk Road in Barkat Nagar. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’ve been here for quite some time. We sell a bit of everything for the house, like lamps, small tables, and some decorative pieces. The shop is quite packed, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over with your bag. I run this place with my wife. She handles the displays and I handle the accounts and the heavy boxes. We get our stock from different parts of the state. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have empty shelves for a few days, but the customers understand. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. We just tell people what things are made of and if they’ll last. The ceiling fan in the shop makes a bit of a clicking noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. Tonk Road is always congested, so we hear the honking all day long. It’s just the background music to our lives now. We like it when people come in and tell us stories about where they’re going to put a new lamp. It makes the work feel more personal. We aren't trying to be a big chain store. We just want to be the local spot where you can find something nice for your room. It is a simple business and we are happy with it.
