Hindustan Zinc Limited, Udaipur

Our small branch is based at Cf-19 in Zinc Nagar, which is situated on the Kapasan Road side of Chittorgarh. It is a functional space that serves as one of our many touchpoints in this region. The area around Zinc Nagar is always moving, with workers and machinery being a constant sight. We focus on the Udaipur operations from here, keeping things organized on this side of the district. The office is not huge, but it has everything we need to keep the records straight and the communication lines open. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in if the windows are left open, so we spend a fair bit of time just keeping the desks clean. We do not have a marketing team or anyone like that; it is just the staff here making sure the logistical stuff gets handled correctly. The neighborhood is mostly other company housing and small shops catering to the workers. On rainy days, the road gets a bit muddy, but we still make it in every morning without much trouble. We take our work seriously but we do not use a lot of fancy words to describe it. We are just a bunch of locals working for Hindustan Zinc, trying to make sure the day goes smoothly. Most of us have our favorite tea stall nearby where we catch up on the local news before starting the shift. It is a predictable, steady kind of life here.
