This shop is over in Pratap Nagar, Sanganer, which is a busy part of Jaipur. You can find us at 104/64. Like our name says, we work with metal. It’s a lot of hard work, honestly. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons welding or bending metal into shapes. Sanganer is a good place to be because there is always something going on around here. The shop is a bit cramped because we have so many tools and stacks of material everywhere. We don’t really have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones, so usually one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks up if it rings. People come to us when they need something made out of metal that looks decent but is also sturdy. We aren't doing high-tech manufacturing; it’s more about using the tools we’ve had for years. The air always smells a bit like ozone and burnt metal. We’ve got a couple of guys who have been here since the start. We don't really do much advertising or anything. Most people just know we are here in Pratap Nagar. It’s a noisy life but we are used to it by now. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. That’s just life in the shop. We just keep at it day after day until the orders are finished.
