We are located over in Sector-19 in Jaipur, right at 192/63. It’s a metal art shop, so if you walk in, you’re probably going to hear a lot of banging and the sound of machines cutting stuff. It gets pretty hot in here, especially during the summer months in Rajasthan, but that’s just the nature of working with metal. We make all sorts of things, mostly decorative bits and pieces that people want for their homes or projects. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal and dust. We aren't the type of place that has a clean showroom with people in suits. We wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty or burnt. Most of us have been working with our hands for years. Sometimes we get a design that’s a bit tricky and we have to sit around and figure it out over some chai. It’s a lot of trial and error. Jaipur has a big tradition for this kind of work, so we are just one of the many shops doing our bit. We like the neighborhood here in Sector-19 because it’s easy for suppliers to drop off the raw sheets of metal. It’s a simple setup, nothing too modern, but it works for what we do every day. We just focus on the metal and making sure the edges aren't too sharp. It is just a regular workshop with regular people making things.
