Hemdev Impex

We are located in the heart of Johari Bazar at Diggi Katla. It’s a very old part of the city, and the lanes are quite narrow and crowded. Hemdev Impex is mostly about trading and moving goods from one place to another. There is a lot of history in this old building. The walls are very thick, and it stays relatively cool inside even when it’s burning hot outside. We deal with various textiles and sometimes other materials for our clients. It’s a very traditional way of doing business here. We sit on rugs sometimes or at small wooden desks. There isn't a lot of extra space, so we have to be very organized with our stock. We spend our days talking to weavers and other traders in the market. Everyone knows everyone else around here. It’s not like working in a modern office park. There are no elevators, just old stone stairs that are a bit steep. We have been here for generations, and the way we do business hasn't changed all that much. We still use paper bills and keep things simple. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the family trade going. The market is noisy with tourists and shoppers, but inside our space, it’s usually just the sound of counting or folding fabric. We are practical people and we don't like to waste time on unnecessary things.
