Havells India Ltd.

Our office is over in Vidyadhar Nagar in Jaipur, at 2/44. If you’ve been to this part of Jaipur, you know it’s a bit more spread out than the old city, so the roads are wider and there’s a bit more breathing room. We work out of this space for Havells India Ltd., mostly focusing on the local distribution and keeping track of orders. It isn’t a very large office, but it’s enough for the few of us who are based here. In the summer, the heat in Jaipur is really something else, so we mostly just stay inside and try to stay cool while we work through our registers. We don’t have any fancy signs or big marketing posters on the walls. It’s mostly just shelves full of files and a few computers that have been around for a long time. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go for a break in the afternoon. It’s a very quiet and straightforward operation we have going on. We just show up in the morning, do the tasks that are piled up on our desks, and then head back home. It doesn’t feel like a big corporate environment at all; it’s more like a local workplace where everyone knows each other. We just try to keep things organized and make sure we don't fall behind on the daily chores.
