Grasim Industries

So we are based out of house number 56 in Roop Nagar, Sector 3. If you know Udaipur at all, you probably know that this part of town is more of a quiet residential area than a big commercial center. We like it that way because it is not as hectic as the main markets or the tourist spots. We set up our operations here because it just made sense for us at the time. There is a lot of dust sometimes when the wind picks up off the roads, but the building stays fairly cool even when the sun is out. It is just a standard place where we manage everything. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles or fancy decor here. Most days start with a cup of tea and then we get right into the logs and the schedules for the week. We know most of the people on this street by their names now. It is quite different from being in a big glass building in a city center. Here, you hear the birds in the morning and the occasional scooter passing by the gate. We have a couple of rooms set aside for the work and it gets the job done. We do not really go for anything extravagant. It is about being practical and staying focused on what needs to happen in this part of Rajasthan. It is our home base.
