Up here in Hanumangarh Town, life moves at its own pace. Our office is tucked away in New Abadi, specifically in Gali No. 9 off Rawatsar Road. It is a dusty part of the world, but it is home. Being on Rawatsar Road means we see a lot of the local traffic heading out towards the rural areas. The office is a simple place, nothing like the big glass buildings in the cities. We have a few rooms where we handle the administration and keep track of what Grasim Industries Limited is doing in this region. Most of the people who work here are locals, so we know most of the neighbors and the people who walk by every day. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, and the winters are surprisingly chilly, so we are always adjusting the fans or the heaters. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who come by to talk about deliveries or local projects. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. You won't find any corporate buzzwords being used here, just plain talk about getting things done. We take our tea breaks seriously and usually sit outside in the shade for a few minutes if the weather is decent. It is a straightforward way of working, focusing on the day-to-day needs of the branch and making sure we are doing right by our contacts. We have been in this spot for several years and it suits us just fine.
