Govind Industries

Govind Industries is located at 9/A 2 in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. It’s a busy part of town with trucks coming and going all the time. We’ve stayed in this same spot because it works for us. The space is filled with tools and raw materials. It’s not very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. Mostly, we are busy with production. There’s always a smell of metal or grease in the air, which you get used to after a week. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the orders are finished on time. My brother and I started this, and we still do a lot of the work ourselves. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone stops by, they usually just find us on the shop floor. We drink a lot of chai during the day to keep going. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them. We don’t spend money on decorations because that’s not what we are here for. It’s just a practical place for practical work. Some days the machines give us trouble, but we have a guy who can fix almost anything. We just keep things moving at 9/A 2, day in and day out. It's noisy and dusty but it's our life and we like it.
