Leather Associates

We are located at Plot No. 52 in Sonabari, right by the Gopalpura Bypass. It’s a decent spot because it’s easy to explain to people how to get here. The bypass is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise, but the plot itself is big enough for us to keep everything we need. Leather Associates is basically just a few of us working together. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to see who it is. We spend a lot of time looking at different hides and deciding what’s good enough to use. The floor is usually covered in little bits of leather that we have to sweep up at the end of every day. It’s a lot of standing around and inspecting things. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon gets to be a bit much since we don't have fancy air conditioning everywhere. We just open the windows and keep going. People from around the bypass know us as the guys who are always there. We don't really change much; we just keep doing what we've been doing for years. It’s a bit of a dusty life, but it’s honest work. We don't promise anything crazy, we just show people what we have and let them decide for themselves. It’s just how we run things here at Plot 52.
