Shiv Gems

Shiv Gems is located at Plot No. 20 in the area known as Ladi Walon Ki Bagichi. We are over by Ghat Gate, which is quite near Ankur Cinema. Actually, if you are on Agra Road, you just look for the cinema and we are right around there. Our workshop is a bit small and tucked away, but we like it that way. We spend our hours cutting and polishing stones. There is always a lot of dust from the grinding wheels, so we keep the windows open. The area near Ghat Gate is always crowded and loud, which is just part of being in this neighborhood. We’ve been here for a long time, and everyone knows us as the gem place near Ankur Cinema. We don't have a storefront with lights and glass cases. Most of our work is done on low stools with small tools and a lot of patience. It’s not the kind of job you can rush. We sit and look at the stones for a long time before we even start. Sometimes the neighbors come in for a chat while we work. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We don't have a big company structure or anything like that. It’s just a group of us who have the skills to handle these gems. We stay busy with the work that comes in from the local area.
