G Mehta & Co is located in the Roop Kamal Apartment, which is at 102-C-55 in the Civil Lines area. We are on Sarojini Marg, a road that has a lot of trees compared to other parts of the city. The apartment building is a bit older, but it is well-maintained. Working in Civil Lines is a bit different because it feels a little more residential and calm. Our office space is just a regular set of rooms that we have converted for our work. We have large windows that look out toward the street, and sometimes you can see the parrots in the trees. The interior is simple, with basic chairs and long tables for our computers and files. We have been here long enough that we know the guard at the gate and the other people living in the building. It’s not a commercial hub, so it stays relatively quiet throughout the day, which helps when we need to focus. Sometimes the lift in the building is under repair, so we end up taking the stairs, which isn't too bad. We usually bring our lunch from home and eat together in the small back room. There is a sense of peace here that you don't get in the middle of the markets. It’s a good, honest place to get through the day’s tasks without too much distraction from the outside world.
