Fortis Escorts Hospital is situated on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, which is a very busy stretch of road near the World Trade Park in Malviya Nagar. If you’ve been to the mall or that area, you know how much traffic there is. We are right in the middle of that Malviya Nagar bustle. The hospital is a big landmark on the Marg. We get a lot of people walking in because they’re already in the area for shopping or work. It makes for a very active front desk. The building itself has several floors and we use every bit of the space we have. From the outside, it looks like a standard big hospital, and inside it’s pretty much what you’d expect. There are doctors in white coats, people waiting for appointments, and staff trying to keep the paperwork in order. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, and other times the lobby feels a bit tight when it’s raining outside and everyone crowds in. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re a hospital in a busy part of town. The nurses are hard workers and the cleaning staff is always around with a mop. We just keep the doors open for the neighborhood and handle whatever comes our way. It’s a lot of routine mixed with the occasional surprise, which is just how things go in Malviya Nagar. Being near the World Trade Park means there's always something going on outside. We just focus on what's happening inside the walls and keep things moving as smoothly as we can.
