Faizman Meat Shop

We are located on Ajmer Road, specifically in the Badi Nagfani area near Foysagar and Boraj Road. The shop is a simple place with white tiled walls that we scrub down every single day. We’ve got the heavy wooden chopping blocks that have deep grooves in them from years of work. Every morning, we get the fresh stock in and start preparing the cuts. The knives are always being sharpened, you can hear that sound throughout the day. It’s a local neighborhood spot, so we know most of the people who come in. They usually tell us exactly how they want their meat cut and we do it right there in front of them. We don't have any fancy displays or cooling cases, just the hooks and the blocks. The floor is usually a bit wet because we’re constantly cleaning. It’s hard work and your back starts to ache after standing for so many hours. During the festivals, the line goes out the door and onto the sidewalk. We have a small fan that blows air towards the back, but it doesn't do much when the sun is hitting the front of the shop. We just keep our heads down and get the orders filled. It’s a family business and we’ve been in this same spot for quite a long time now.
