Fairtem Marketing works out of Jaipur, focusing on things related to L&T products. The city is always bustling, and being here means we’re often out and about rather than just sitting behind a desk. We don’t have a huge, sprawling office; it’s more about the marketing work we do on the ground. We spend a lot of our time visiting different sites or meeting with people who need equipment or services. Jaipur’s heat can be quite something in the summer, so we do a lot of our traveling early in the morning or late in the afternoon. We don’t go in for fancy branding for ourselves; we just focus on the products we’re marketing. Most of our days are a mix of phone calls, site visits, and trying to keep the paperwork in order back at our main spot. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of talking to different types of people. We aren’t trying to sound like a big corporate firm. We’re just a local team that knows the market here in Rajasthan. Sometimes we grab a tea at a local stall while waiting for a client to show up. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s real work and we’ve gotten pretty good at navigating the local scene. We just try to be useful and keep the connections between the suppliers and the users going.
