Our place is over at F-261 on Road No. 13 in the VKI Area. If you’ve been to the industrial zone, you know it’s a lot of warehouses and dust. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while. We handle lights and lighting equipment. It’s a lot of glass and metal around here. We have to be careful how we stack things. The warehouse is big, but it fills up fast. Our days usually start early before the sun gets too hot. We spend most of our time checking stock and packing things up for delivery. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and moving pallets around. We aren't wearing suits or sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. We’re usually on the floor making sure everything is where it should be. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of computers and a lot of ledgers. It gets noisy with the trucks outside, but that’s just life in an industrial area. We have a small crew and we’ve all known each other for a long time. We drink our chai together in the afternoon and talk about the news or the weather. It’s a steady life. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just sell lights and try to make sure they get to people in one piece. It’s straightforward work and we like it that way. No one here is trying to win any prizes.
