Dhabhai Batteries

Dhabhai Batteries is located at 46 Kishanpole Bazar. It's a narrow shop but it goes back a long way. We have batteries for cars, bikes, and sometimes those big ones for houses. They are heavy, so there is a lot of lifting involved. The floor is stained from years of work. It’s a busy street, so there is always someone honking outside. We spend time charging batteries or checking them with meters to see if they are still good. It's a dirty job sometimes, especially with the old lead-acid ones. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. Customers usually come in when their vehicle won't start, so they are often in a hurry. We try to get them sorted out quickly. There isn't much space to sit down, just a couple of stools near the front counter. We keep the new stock in the back and the old ones near the door to be picked up. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers. We don't do fancy marketing. People see the sign at 46 and just stop by when they need help. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. The smell of battery acid is just part of the shop now. We don't mind it much. It is just the way we make our living in the bazar.
