We’ve been here at Monika Vihar in Jaipur for a good while now. The workshop stays busy with the sound of tools and wood being moved around. It’s a bit dusty, especially when the fans are going in the summer heat, but that’s just how furniture making goes. Most days it is just us figuring out how to fit everything into the trucks for delivery. We started out small and stayed that way for a bit before things picked up. Now, we have a decent sized team here in Jaipur. We make a lot of office chairs and desks that people need for their workspaces. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork because we are focused on the actual building part of the job. It’s not fancy work, but it gets the job done. The address here isn't hard to find once you get into the 72-Monika Vihar area. People stop by to ask about cupboard sizes or what kind of metal we use for the frames. We just tell them what we have on the floor. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order needs to go out by Friday. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the workshop floor gets a bit cluttered with offcuts. That’s just part of the daily routine here at Delite Hi-Tech. We drink our tea, finish the welding, and move on to the next piece. It works for us.
