Dayanand Arts & Crafts

Dayanand Arts & Crafts is situated at J-15 in Sharma Colony, which is along Road Number 2 in the Bais Godam area. It is a bit of an industrial part of town, but our colony has its own feel to it. We have been making various craft items and artistic pieces in this workshop for quite some time now. When you walk in, you will usually see people sitting on small stools working on different projects. There might be some wood shavings on the floor or the smell of varnish in the air depending on what we are finishing that day. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. We just make the items and then they get sent out to different markets or exported. It is very hands-on work and we don't use a lot of big machines if we can help it. We prefer doing things the old way because that is how we learned. The traffic near Bais Godam can be really bad in the evenings, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning to avoid the mess. Our team is small and most of us have lived in this part of the city all our lives. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy websites. We just focus on making things that look decent and serve their purpose for whoever ends up buying them.
