Car Khazana

The shop is at Shop No 37 on Shyampura Main Road. We are located right by the Ambedkar Boys Hostel. Having the hostel so close means there are always students walking past, which keeps the area feeling lively throughout the day. The main road is usually busy with people commuting, so it never really gets quiet until late at night. We open the shop in the morning and the first thing we do is sweep the front step. It’s a modest place with a lot of stuff packed into a small area. We have things hanging from the walls and stacked on the floor because we like to keep a good variety on hand for different cars. Sometimes the hostel kids come over just to ask for directions or to use the phone. We don't mind. The building we are in is a bit older, so the walls have some character and a few cracks here and there. We’ve got a small fan that barely does the job in May, but we get by. Most of our customers are locals who have been living on Shyampura Main Road for years. They know where we are and what we do. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still kept in a big notebook on the desk. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. It’s a simple shop for simple needs.
