Canon Care Centre

Down at S S Tower, in room 305, you’ll find the Canon Care Centre. We’re on M I Road, right by the Gopinath Marg intersection. It’s a busy building and getting up here can sometimes be a bit of a wait for the lift. We spend our days looking at tiny screws and delicate circuit boards. People bring their cameras in when something stops working, and we do our best to figure it out. Sometimes it's a quick fix, and other times we have to wait for a specific part to arrive. Our workbenches are covered in specialized tools and magnifying glasses. It’s not the quietest office because the traffic noise from M I Road always drifts up. We’ve been in this tower for quite a while now. Most of the time, we’re just sitting under the lights working on a lens or a shutter mechanism. The office is a bit cramped because of all the boxes and equipment waiting to be picked up. We don’t have a big reception area or any promotional stuff on the walls. We just take the cameras, listen to what’s wrong, and see if we can get them back to normal. M I Road is always packed, so it can be a trek to get here. We just keep our heads down and get through the repairs as they come. It's a small crew of us here just doing the technical work.
