Books Bazaar

Books Bazaar is our little corner of the world, located at B-130 Rajendra Marg in Bapu Nagar. Even though we have the website, the physical space is where everything happens. It is basically a house full of books. There are shelves in every room and even some piles in the hallways. Bapu Nagar is a nice, older part of the city and it has a good feeling to it. The smell of old paper and new ink is everywhere in the building. We spend most of our time finding books for orders and packing them up in brown paper and tape. It can be a bit dusty, especially on the top shelves, so we are always sneezing. We have a small table where we handle the computer stuff and print out labels. Rajendra Marg is a pretty quiet street, which we appreciate. Sometimes people stop by thinking we are a regular walk-in shop, and we have to explain how the bazaar works. We have a few people who help with the shipping and they are always busy with the mail. It is a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives and we have nowhere to put it. But we like being surrounded by books all day. It is a slow kind of work, but it is satisfying to see the packages go out every afternoon. We have been at B-130 for a good while now and have no plans to move.
