Sanskriti Synfab

You can find Sanskriti Synfab on the third floor of the Jhule Lal Market. We are tucked away in the Dhula House area of Bapu Bazar. If you know Bapu Bazar, you know it's a maze of shops and people. Getting up to the third floor takes a bit of effort, especially when we are moving stock around, but we've gotten used to the stairs over the years. The market is always loud and there is always something going on downstairs. Our space is filled with stacks of fabric and sample books. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but it works for us. I spend most of my afternoon trying to find specific items for people who call. The lighting in the market can be a bit dim sometimes, so we have a few extra lamps around. It’s a very traditional way of doing business here. We talk to the other shopkeepers and share news about what’s selling. It’s been our home base for quite a while. Sometimes the heat in the market is pretty intense, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning, just a regular market shop. We focus on the synfab materials and try to keep enough variety on the shelves. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we know.
