Bhiwani Eye Hospitals. Our clinic is located at 310 SMS Highway, right in the Chaura Rasta area. Being on the highway means it’s always loud outside with trucks and cars rushing past the front. Chaura Rasta is a very famous spot, so most people don't have trouble finding us, even if they aren't from this part of town. The building is right on the corner, and the windows are usually covered in a thin layer of dust from the road traffic. Inside, we have the vision charts on the walls and those machines for checking eyes. They are a bit clunky and old, but they work fine for what we need. I spend my day sitting at the little wooden desk near the door, keeping track of who comes in and out. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the highway outside. We have a lot of older people visiting us, so we try to keep the aisles clear so nobody trips on their way to the back. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, but we have a small generator to keep the main machines going for the patients. It’s a very busy street, and sometimes the smell of street food from the vendors nearby wafts inside during the afternoon. We don’t do any big promotions or have a fancy office; people just see our sign on the highway.
