Bhartiya Yantralaya

You can find Bhartiya Yantralaya at 57 Jagdish Vihar in Jagatpura. We are right near the Shivalik Public School, so it's easy for locals to find us. This place is basically a workshop where we deal with different kinds of machinery. It started out small in the back of the house and then we took over this space. We have all sorts of tools lying around. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. People bring in engines or pumps that have stopped working and we take a look. Sometimes it’s a quick fix, other times we have to wait for parts to come in from the city. The noise from the school nearby is a constant thing during the day, but it’s a nice area to work in. We don't really do advertisements. Most of our work comes from people in Jagatpura who know us. My cousin helps me out with the heavy lifting and the bookkeeping when he has time. We aren't trying to become a huge company. We just want to do a good job on the repairs so people keep coming back. It’s a simple life. We open up early, drink some tea, and get to work on whatever is sitting on the bench. If you're passing by Jagdish Vihar, you’ll probably see us with our shutters up. We’ve been doing this for years and don't plan to change much for now because this suits us just fine.
