Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre

This hospital is located on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg. It’s a well-known street. Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is where many people end up when they have health troubles that won't go away. We have been operating here for a long time. The building itself is sturdy, though you can tell it’s been through a lot of seasons. Inside, it smells like floor cleaner and medicine, which I guess is expected. We have a lot of different departments. Some focus on the research and others on the actual treatments. It gets very busy in the mornings. You’ll see people waiting outside even before we open the main doors properly. We try to be quick with the registrations, but there’s always a queue. The doctors are usually rushing from one room to another. It’s a fast-paced environment. Some of the nurses have worked here for twenty years and they know exactly how everything works. We aren't a five-star hotel. It’s a place for getting better or at least trying to. We have benches for families to sit on while they wait for news. Sometimes it’s quiet, and sometimes there is a lot of talking. We just try to provide a space where the work can get done. It’s a lot of responsibility, and we take it seriously without making a big fuss about it. Every day is just another day of seeing patients and managing the center. We stay focused on the tasks we have to finish.
