We set up shop on the 3rd floor of the Gordhan Sky building, which is over on Khatipura Road in the Jhotwara area. It’s a newer building compared to some of the others around here, and Plot No. 308 is where we spend our working hours. Jhotwara is always bustling, and the road outside can get pretty congested during rush hour. Being on the third floor gives us a little bit of a break from the noise of the street, though you can still hear the horns honking down below. Our office is focused on energy solutions, but the day-to-day reality is a lot of spreadsheets, technical drawings, and phone calls. We aren’t big on fancy office furniture; we mostly just have what we need to get the job done. The space is functional, with a few desks and some equipment we use for testing things out. Most of us have been working in this field for a while, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed but busy. We just try to stay on top of the projects we have going on. People come by to talk about their setups, and we sit down in the small meeting area to go over the details. It’s a straightforward way of working, without any of the corporate jargon you might find in bigger cities. We just keep things moving and focus on the technical side of the business every day.
