We’ve been at C- 28 Barkat Nagar for a while now. It’s a family thing, mostly textiles and different types of cloth. My dad started it, and now we all just help out where we can. People around here know where to find us. Rolls of fabric are piled up everywhere you look. It gets a bit crowded in the shop sometimes, especially when new stock arrives. We aren't really fancy or anything. It's just a regular place where you can pick out what you need for a suit or some curtains. Barkat Nagar is a busy area, so there's always something going on outside our door. Sometimes the lights flicker when it rains, but we manage. We try to keep things organized, but with so much fabric, it’s a constant job. If you walk in, you'll probably see one of us measuring out meters of cloth on the big wooden table. It's dusty work. We don't have a big sign, just the name on the front. We just do our work and go home. Most of our customers have been coming here since they were kids with their parents. It’s nice to see familiar faces. We just keep doing what we know, which is selling cloth. In the afternoon, we usually close for a bit to have lunch and some tea. The shop always smells like cotton and steam. Nothing more to it than that.
