Jyoti Textiles

Bani Park is a nice area but it stays busy. Our shop, Jyoti Textiles, is right there on G-6 Ganga Path. If you are walking down Kabir Marg, you’ll find us. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the rolls of cloth we keep. Some of the fabric has been sitting there for a bit, while the new stuff goes out fast. The shelves are wooden and old. We spend a lot of time just folding things back up after someone looks through them. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so we are always cleaning. There is a small stool in the corner where we sit when there are no customers. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little. People from the neighborhood stop in just to say hello sometimes. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. It is just a textile shop where you can find what you need for a suit or some curtains. We open up early in the morning and stay until the street lights come on. The neighbors are good people. Sometimes we share tea from the stall at the corner. It's a simple life here in Jaipur. We know most of our customers by name since they have been coming here for years. Nothing too special about it, just a local business trying to keep things going every day.
