You can find us over at 2A Suraj Colony, which is part of Ward No. 76 in the Basbadanpura area. Our place isn’t a big showroom in a mall; it’s more of a local spot where we keep all our stock and do some of the finishing work. We deal mostly with Rajasthani traditional dresses, so the rooms are always full of bright colors and different types of fabrics like cotton and silk. There’s usually a lot of thread and bits of cloth on the floor because we are always busy sorting through new arrivals. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere here. We don't have a formal reception or a fancy entrance. People usually come by because they heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. Basbadanpura is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like we fit right in with the traditional side of things. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a lot of orders to pack, but we usually find what we need eventually. We aren't into high-pressure sales or anything corporate. We just show the clothes to whoever comes in and let them decide. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, but it’s enough to see the work on the dresses. We stay open most days and just take things as they come. It’s a plain and simple way of running a business, and that’s how we like it at Rajasthani Traditional Dresses.
