Babu Shockers

You can find us over at Indira Bazar, right around numbers 288 to 290. It’s a hectic part of town, always lots of noise and bikes zipping past the storefront. We spend most of our time covered in a bit of grease and oil because that’s just the nature of working on shockers. People bring in their motorcycles or cars when the ride starts feeling too bumpy or they hear a weird clunking sound from the wheels. We take the parts apart, see what’s worn out, and try to get it back to working order. The shop floor is usually cluttered with old metal parts and tools we’ve been using for years. It’s not a shiny place with air conditioning, but it gets the job done. Sometimes a customer will sit on the wooden bench and talk about the weather while we work on their suspension. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. Dealing with the traffic in Indira Bazar is part of the daily grind, especially when we have to test a vehicle on the street. It’s dusty work, and our hands are rarely clean until the end of the shift. We just keep our heads down and handle the repairs as they arrive. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for a quick fix or just a bit of advice on their vehicle's bounce.
