Ashirwad Photos is right in the heart of Nehru Bazar at number 157. If you’ve ever been to the bazar, you know how crowded and lively it gets, especially in the evenings. Our shop is a small space filled with cameras, frames, and old photos we’ve taken over the years. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood since we first opened our doors. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello, even if they don’t need any photos taken that day. We spend most of our time behind the counter or in the small studio area in the back. It’s not a big corporate studio with professional lighting rigs and fancy sets. We just have a few backdrops and some basic lights that do the job. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing plan. People know us because we’ve been here forever. Sometimes we get really busy during the wedding season, and the shop is full of people and noise. Other times, it’s just us sitting and waiting for the next customer to walk in. We enjoy looking through the pictures we’ve taken and seeing how the families in the area have grown. It’s a simple business and we’re happy to be a part of the daily life in Nehru Bazar. We plan to keep clicking away as long as we can. The shelves are a bit dusty and the floor creaks, but it's home to us.
