Archima Architects

We set up Archima Architects over at Plot No-46 in Malviya Nagar. It’s in the S-II area, specifically around Nandpuri and Shyam Vatika. Jaipur is growing fast and there is always something being built nearby. Our office is a modest place where we spend our hours looking at sketches and trying to make sense of different building heights. We don't have a big corporate philosophy. We just like buildings. We spend a lot of time talking to masons and contractors to make sure things are going the way they should. Sometimes it’s frustrating when materials don't show up on time, but we just deal with it. The neighborhood here is quite nice and we’ve gotten to know the people around Shyam Vatika pretty well. We aren't the kind of architects who wear suits every day. Most of the time we have dust on our shoes from visiting sites. We try to keep our plans simple so they are easy to build. We don't want to make things more complicated than they need to be. If you come by, you’ll probably see a lot of half-empty chai cups and piles of blueprints everywhere. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the process of seeing something go from a drawing on a piece of paper to a real house made of bricks and mortar in our city. It’s a long process but it’s worth the effort we put in.
