Antra Hospital

Antra Hospital is tucked away in Jawahar Nagar at 7-KHA-28. A good landmark is Mama ka hotel, which is pretty close by, and the petrol pump is just a short walk away. This part of Jawahar Nagar stays quite active and the noise from the street is something we live with every day. The hospital itself is a modest building. We don’t have those massive lobbies with fountains or anything like that. It’s just rooms for patients and a place for the staff to work. The hallways are a bit narrow and we have to move equipment carefully. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding neighborhood. They know us and we know them. It’s common to see someone stop by just to ask a quick question or drop off some papers. We keep things very basic. The focus is on getting through the patient list and making sure the floors are scrubbed. It gets a bit hectic around noon when everyone seems to show up at once. Our records are mostly kept in folders and we spend a lot of time writing things down by hand. It feels like a real part of the street, not some isolated institution. We don't have fancy uniforms; we just wear what’s practical for a long day of work. It’s a local spot where things are done the old-fashioned way without much noise.
