Carpet And Textile

Our shop is called Carpet And Textile. We are located right on Amer Road. If you know the area, you know it is always full of people and cars going up to the fort. We have been here for a long time. The shop is filled with the smell of wool and old dyes. It is a bit cramped inside because we have so many rugs and fabrics stacked on top of each other. We spend our days unrolling things for people to see and then rolling them back up again. It is heavy work, but it keeps us moving. We are not a big chain store. We just have this one place. The walls are covered in patterns that we have seen for years. Sometimes we sit outside on the step when it is quiet and watch the tourists go by with their cameras. We know the other shopkeepers on Amer Road. We have tea together when business is slow in the afternoons. We don't have a website that does everything for you. We just like people to come in and touch the fabrics for themselves. That is the only way to really know if a carpet is any good. Some of the rugs have been here a while, and some come and go very quickly. We don't try to push people to buy anything. If they like it, they take it. That is how we have always done things. It is a simple life and we are happy with it.
