Akme Design Studio

We set up Akme Design Studio at K-102, A-189 on Ayodhya Marg. It’s in the Vaishali Nagar area, near Hanuman Nagar. Our studio is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a place filled with rolls of paper, samples of different materials, and a few computers that are always humming. We don't really go for the high-end corporate look because that’s just not who we are. We’re just regular people who happened to be good at designing things. Most of our clients are locals who are building their first home or fixing up an old shop. We like the challenge of making a small space feel a bit bigger or figuring out how to get more light into a dark room. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes, but we stay with it until it feels right. We don't use a lot of fancy jargon when we talk to people. We’d rather just show you a sketch and explain why we put the door there instead of somewhere else. Jaipur has its own style, and we try to respect that while also doing things that make sense for today. It’s a quiet enough street, which is nice when we need to focus on some tricky technical drawings. We’re not a huge company, and we like it that way because it means we can actually focus on the details of every single job we take on.
