Ajmera Marble Industries

Over at VKIA Road No 9, you’ll find us at F 2 F 739-740. This is Ajmera Marble Industries. This part of town is pretty industrial, so there’s always trucks and noise around. We spend most of our time moving heavy slabs and dealing with different types of stone. It’s physical work and your hands get rough after a few years here. We have a lot of stock sitting out in the yard. Rain or shine, we are usually out there checking the inventory or loading something up for a customer. The office is small and mostly used for keeping the paperwork straight. My cousin and I run the day-to-day things. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we have the marble they need. Some pieces are nicer than others, that's just how natural stone works. You see a lot of dust in the air here because of the cutting and polishing. It’s not the cleanest job but it pays the bills. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves on the spot. We've been in this spot for years and don't plan on going anywhere. If you come by, watch out for the forklifts because they move fast around the corners of the warehouse. It is just a regular stone yard with people working hard to get the orders out.
