Ajay Surgical Company

Ajay Surgical Company is at 11 Chaura Rasta in the Film Colony. We are right opposite the Golcha Cinema, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Chaura Rasta is always packed with people and rickshaws, so it’s a very lively place to work. Our shop is old-school. We have glass counters and shelves filled with surgical instruments and medical supplies. It’s not one of those modern, sterile-looking places. It feels more like a traditional family business. We see all sorts of people walking in, from students looking for basic kits to older doctors who have been coming to us for decades. Sometimes it gets so crowded in the shop that people have to wait outside on the sidewalk. We try to help everyone as fast as we can, but we like to talk a bit too. It’s part of being in this neighborhood. The noise from the street never really stops, and you can always hear the movies playing across the road. We keep a ledger for the regular accounts and handle most things by hand. It’s a bit messy behind the counter with all the papers and boxes, but we know where everything is. We’ve been part of the Film Colony scene for a long time and don't plan on changing how we do things. It’s just us, the instruments, and the busy street outside our door every single day.
