Adhitya Battery House

You can find us at 7 Sansar Chandra Road, not too far from the City Center. Adhitya Battery House is basically a room full of heavy black boxes and the smell of lead and acid. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and my clothes usually have a few small holes from the battery fluid. We spend most of our time testing old batteries to see if they can still hold a charge or if they’re just dead weight. When someone’s car or inverter stops working, they come to us looking a bit worried, and we just do our best to get them sorted out. The shop is small, so we have batteries stacked up high against the walls. Sansar Chandra Road is incredibly busy, so there’s a constant drone of horns and engines outside our door. Sometimes we have to go out to someone’s house to swap a battery if they can’t bring the machine to us. It’s heavy lifting, and my back usually feels it by the end of the week. We keep a few tools on a messy workbench in the back for cleaning terminals and fixing cables. There isn't any fancy decor here, just some old calendars and a few spare parts hanging on hooks. People around here know us as the place to go when the lights go out. We just keep our heads down, charge the units, and keep the shop running as best we can every day. It's enough to keep us busy.
