Accutech Cnc Products is based out of 74, Athipalayam Pirivu in the Ganapathy area. If you come by, you’ll hear the machines before you see the door. It’s an industrial vibe here, which makes sense given what we do with CNC work. There is usually a bit of oil on the floor and the smell of cut metal in the air most mornings. We aren't trying to look like a showroom. It’s a workshop first and foremost. The office part is just a small section partitioned off so we can hear each other talk over the humming of the lathes. We’ve got a few guys who have been running these machines for years, and they know the quirks of every single one. The street outside gets pretty dusty when the trucks go by, so we’re always wiping down the benches. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We wear work clothes that can get dirty. Most days are spent checking measurements and making sure the parts are coming out right. When a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves right there. It’s practical work. We stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Sunday is the only time the place is actually quiet, which feels a bit strange when you’re used to the constant rhythm of the shop floor. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come. We keep a stash of spare parts in the blue bins near the back for any urgent jobs.
