Aarushi Battery Centre

Our shop is right by the Brahmpuri Bus Stand, which means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of buses pulling in and out. At Aarushi Battery Centre, we deal with heavy stuff every day. These batteries for cars and inverters aren't light, and our backs feel it by the end of the week. We have rows of them stacked up, some new and some old ones that people brought in for exchange. The smell of lead and acid is just something we are used to now. When someone’s car won't start in the morning, they often come to us looking worried. We test the old battery first to see if it just needs a charge or if it’s completely dead. We don't have a shiny showroom; it’s more of a workshop with some display shelves. The floor is concrete and usually has some stains from the battery water. We spend a lot of time cleaning terminals and connecting cables. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the road and people honk, but that’s just life at the bus stand. We are just a few people working here, trying to make sure people don't get stuck without power. It’s a messy, honest business, and we don't mind getting our hands dirty to get a vehicle moving again. Sometimes it’s raining and we still have to go out to the curb to check a customer’s hood.
